Hart to Heart Family Services began with my desire to help others. My career has centered around children and families for the last 12 years. I taught middle school English  for the 10 years in San Antonio- 1 year in South San ISD, 2 years with KIPP-SA and 7 years with Judson ISD before becoming an elementary school counselor in 2019, still with Judson ISD. In addition to my Texas school counselor certification, I also am a certified principal and teacher. Because of these wonderful opportunities, I have experience working with children and adults at varying levels.

Although my career centers around education, I began working as a part-time Supervised Visitation Observer (SVO) with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and Child Protective Service 6 years ago through United Family Care Social Services from 2015-2016. I then joined OmniLayne Counseling as a visitation monitor from 2016-2017. I started my own business to service families outside of the DFPS in 2017 and began working simultaneously as a subcontractor with ONYX Supervision Services in 2018, where I currently am a subcontractor for CPS and DFPS.

Through Hart to Heart Family Services, I work independently to facilitate court ordered supervised visits. Clients are gained through family court referrals from attorneys and judges and the Bexar County Department of Domestic Relations. I recognized the need for low-cost supervision services after a friend of mine went through a situation where she needed visitation services, but could not afford the fees associated with the agency she was referred to. I realized that the opportunity to see one's child should not be hindered by high costs, thus Hart to Heart Family Services began and I am blessed to serve individuals and families in this capacity.

My background in education and my experience working with children and parents really makes my contribution to this role significant. As a mother and grandmother, I understand the significance of the family unit. Serving as a visitation monitor has been rewarding and beneficial in my own endeavors as a counselor and educator and I take pride in my responsibility to actively monitor each visit.
